Characteristics and Temperaments: Akitas are alert, courageous and
responsive. They usually are aggressive toward other dogs and cautious with
strangers so proper socialization as a pup is a must. Akita breed dogs make good
watch dog. They have to be raised around children, otherwise they may not
tolerate their behavior
Training and Activity: Akitas want to be part of the family. They need a
securely fenced yard for consistent exercise and training
