Coat: double-coated (two layers); undercoat is short and dense, while
outer-coat consists of long hair, thicker around the neck and chest. No trimming
necessary except to neaten the feet and backs

Characteristics and Temperaments: American eskimos are intelligent,
friendly, alert and excellent when it comes to obedient. This dog can be wary to
strangers but quicly become friendly once introduced. This breed is also very
sociable with its family and other household pets
Care: During the twice a year shedding, this dog requires more attention.
Regular brushing is recommended to prevent matting. Although the coat is thick,
it is relatively easy to groom
