Characteristics and Temperaments: This breed is intelligent,
affectionate, alert, but independent. It is not known for its obedience,
although it can get along with strangers. This dog can be trusted with children,
but not as a playmate
Care: Basenji breed washes itself like a cat. Very little grooming is
needed
Training and Activity: Basenji dog likes to chew so you should give a lot
of chewing toy. It is acceptable as an apartment dog, although regular walk is
necessary. The dog is difficult to train, although socialization is best done
since younger age
